Adopt simple, daily good habits to protect your eyes between check-ups.
01. Protect your eyes from the sun
The sun is no joke! If unstopped, its UV-A and UV-B light rays can reach and damage your retina, increasing the risk of developing a number of eye diseases.
But don’t worry, there is a solution for this and we’ve got you covered. Sunglasses are the most efficient protection against the harmful effects of UV radiation. Our lenses, labeled UV400, offer the highest level of protection against UV rays.
02. Take a break from screens
Blue light radiation is everywhere. It is emitted by the sun, modern light sources, and screens. While its harm on the human eye health has not yet been proven by experts (they’re still working on it), there is a consensus around the fact that blue light causes dry eyes, blurry vision and disrupted sleep.
Luckily for you, screen users, solutions exist for that.
If you find yourself gazing at screens all day and your eyes feel overworked, try the 20-20-20 routine. It’s very simple: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for about 20 seconds. This gives your eyes time to relax and prevents strain.
You can also wear screen glasses. Our Blue Light Filter will help your eyes feel more focused and comfortable during a long day in front of your laptop. You can add it to any of our optical frames!
03. Hydrate and get enough sleep
Just like the rest of your body, your eyes need sufficient fluid intake and shut-eye each day in order to keep revitalised and healthy. Make sure they get to recharge too!
04. And of course, get your eyes checked!
We insist. Regular check-ups are important to prevent eye diseases and to ensure your visual comfort with an up-to-date prescription. Let us take care of your peepers.
